Patna.  Yet another lunch fiasco has almost kicked off a political storm in the state as opposition leaders, including LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan, have hauled up chief minister Nitish Kumar on Monday.  Paswan said that it was unthinkable that chief justice and judges would have sat together for luncheon with a man who had been accused of a multi-crore scam.  He was giving reply to the queries of pressmen here at the airport before leaving for his public address along with RJD counterpart Lalu Prasad Yadav.

“He is one of the accused of the scam of such a huge proportion and there is no possibility that chief justice would accept the offer of lunch from him at this juncture,” Paswan said and added that not even God would save Nitish from going into lockup now after the disclosure of the huge scam.

However, Lalu maintained a silence on the lunch issue.  He not only denied commenting on it but also feigned ignorance about it. When asked by reporters he said, “What lunch? Who gave it to whom? Don’t pester me to comment on the matter and also don’t make a noise when you have got half-baked information,” said he.

But, www.magnificentbihar.com has learnt from close sources that Lalu was very much informed about the whole issue and he perhaps kept mum because there was a judiciary angle in it.
