Patna. Top cardiologists of the country who are pioneers in the field of arrhythmia will gather here in Patna on August 7 and 8, 2010, the occasion will be organization of Patna a arrhythmia course, a mid term national conference of India society of electro-cardiology.
Arrhythmias are rhythm disturbance of the heart which can lead to sudden crisis or even death. Medicines alone are not enough hence various procedures such as radio frequency ablation and devices which are implanted into the heart are of great value. This was stated by Dr. Ajay Sinha, the organizing secretary of Patna Arrhythmia course who was addressing the press to give the details of the conference here on Friday. He said a large number of cardiac patients are suffering from some type of arrhythmia which requires specialized care.
A noted cardiologist of the state, Dr. A. K. Thakur, patron of PAC told mediapersons that this conference will be of much benefit to the practicing cardiologists and physicians as well as the patients of the state.
The academic programmes, symposiums and workshop are designed to discuss the latest development in the field of arrhythmia by some useful discussion with known national & international doctors of the field. Dr. S.N. Mishra (Director of Indira Gandhi Institute of Cardiology) said that the cardiologists of national repute like Dr. Yash Lokhandwala from Mumbai, T.S.Clare from Delhi, C.Narasimhan From Hyderabad, Mohan Nair, Aditya Kapoor from Lukhnow, Ramdas Naik from Goa and R. D. Yadave are among several faculties who will participate in the discussion in the different sessions of the conference. Dr. U. C.Samal elaborated that few patients will be treated with radio fFrequency ablation in the workshop organized during the conference by the world renowned electro physiologist Dr. M. K. Das from Kramert Institute of Cardiology, Indianapolis, USA and C. Narshiman from Hyderabad.
These procedures will be done in cath lab of local Magadh Hospital and will be telecast live for the delegates at the conference venue at Hotel Maurya. He said this will be a great learning opportunity for the doctors of the state by live interaction with eminent masters of this field. Dr. Sanjeev Kumar (Joint organizing secretary & Secretary CSI Bihar chapter) said that our effort always brings latest development in the field of cardiology and benefits large number of patients of the state. Dr. Ajay Sinha said that about three hundred cardiologists from all over the country are expected to participate in the conference.
